Day 67

The details of our story…

Today’s reading was one of those days where my mind wandered as I studied. I had to keep intentionally bringing my mind back to the word. And as I listened to a commentary and have often wondered why some things are recorded in the bible, I realised that the details of our story matter. Every journey, everything we have gone through in life, makes us unique and who we are. That was profound for me. The question I ask is, what are those details in my life that I have overlooked or don’t sometimes want to bring back to memory? How do they matter today? How has glory been given to God from my story? It matters how we got to where we are today; it matters that we are not alone. He is in the details of our stories, and His glory is in them.
