Day 202
Yesterday, I wondered why God instructed Hosea to marry a prostitute, despite his unfaithfulness to him. The more I pondered, the more I realised that it is an excellent example of how God accepts us with our flaws and loves us as we are. We can be real with God and not fake it. He knows the real us anyway and accepts us with our limitations. He also wants us to be accepting of people and not be judgmental. We must learn to give grace, just as He gives us.
We see God’s point of view on the events and how he felt betrayed by his people. Yet, he loves them. I am sure I betray God now and then, either in my thoughts or actions, but my prayer is always to learn to trust God and lean on his promises, not to turn to any other things to save me.
